Newell Lodge is conveniently located 14 miles from the Florida-Georgia border and 8 miles outside of the town of Folkston. The grounds of the property date back to the 16th century, with further development across the railroad in the early 1900's of the former town known as Newell. While the town is no longer there, the railroad the town was created because of is still operating and can be heard from the grounds. Explore the adventures of Okefenokee Swamp located 18 miles away and learn the local history of the refuge.
Nestled in the heart of a 300 year old oak grove, you will find yourself relaxing and indulging in the outdoors. With 52 Acres of lush landscape, we provide a variety of camping options to suit every preference. Stay in one of our 6 cabins, rent one of our full service RV hookup sites, or rent a tent site. Every site is equipped and designed to offer comfort and convenience to ensure a peaceful stay. We focus on accommodating all types of travelers, large groups, and families. We are more than just the average campground, offering a wide variety of amenities, accommodations, as well as activities that all groups will love.

Activities & Additional Amenities
In addition to 6 cabins, 108 RV hookups, an event hall, and a restaurant, we offer lots of fun activities as well as amenities for all groups to enjoy. Please check into the office to purchase and pick up your passes for any extra activities or amenities during your stay. You may also call ahead to add on any additions. Have fun!
Activities
Stocked Fishing Pond
Enjoy fishing in our stocked pond! Take the kids for a fishing experience, enjoy the peace/quiet, or rent a kayak to fish off of. Our fishing pond is located at the back of the property. You may bring your own kayak, canoe, or row boat for an additional $5 fee. We ask that you bring your own equipment to fish and respect the catch and release rules.

Sports Equipment
Get access to all of our sports equipment as well as our low basketball net. Stay tuned to see our upcoming volleyball court. From basketballs, volleyballs, footballs, soccer balls, and kick balls to jump ropes and hula hoops- enjoy access to it all! Keep the kids active during the day, or start a tournament of your own, we encourage group activities and asking others to join in as well.
Additional Amenities
On-Site Bathrooms
Located sporadically around the property, we offer two full outhouses with full bathrooms (toilet, sink, and shower) as well as a single toilet outhouse located near the gazebo. Our outhouses are specifically for tents or car campers, however, they are open for usage to all campers as needed.
